LIARS, STEALING PEOPLE MONEY, WORST OF THE WORST
The flight was supposed to depart from Miami to Cordoba (Argentina) but was cancelled.
According to the Us Department of transportation airlines have an obligation to provide a refund to a ticketed passenger when the carrier cancels or significantly changes the passenger’s flight, and the passenger chooses not
I call 3 times trying to complete this task but the agents refer me back to the web page that is not working for refunds.
Horrible customer service. Horrível airline. Don’t waste your money traveling with this airline. They cancelled a flight, promised a voucher that we never received, promised a refund that we never received. Customer service in colombia sucks. They tell you a different story every time you call. Useless. Will never use this company again.

WORST AIRLINE i have have ever used. DO NOT RECOMMEND OR CONDONE. They REFUSE to allow me to speak to a manager or supervisor, i have emailed and contacted multiple times. Their computer system made an error on our tickets with entering in my name for two different ticket guests and claim its my own problem not theirs. disgusting company and service. I have never been treated so poorly by an airline. They are horrible to their clients both the phone AND in person service raised their voice at me and refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor. DO NOT FLY HERE
I will never ever fly Copa Airlines again. After they changed the return flight of our ticket then a few weeks later canceled our flight altogether and pushed it one day, my friend and I were about ready to cancel the flight and get a refund. But after being told that we would have to REQUEST a refund and wouldn’t just receive one, we didn’t want to run the risk of them denying our refund and keeping our $700 tickets. AND apparently it would take 6 months for us to even receive an answer regarding our refund. So we decided to go. When we got to the airport, all of the announcements were in Spanish first, check-in was EXTREMELY slow, and the employees didn’t seem to know what they were talking about any time you asked a question. After we checked our bags and finally got on the flight, 20 mins into the flight, they announced that we were having technical difficulties with the plane and that they were turning back to JFK. When we got off and I asked what the problem was, they said that they were having engine malfunctions. ENGINE MALFUNCTIONS! How did they realize that mid-air???
So we get off and while we’re walking to the boarding area, we were told that the next plane was “ready to go!” It wasn’t and we waited another 30 mins to board. Meanwhile, my friend and I are worried about missing the connecting flight in Panama to Belize City AND the other flight we have scheduled with another airline from Belize City to San Pedro where our hotel is. But they assure us that it will be fine and we receive an email about how our flight in Panama is delayed, so we are temporarily relieved. But then 10 mins after getting on the plane, an employee comes to us and says “you two are going to Belize? Yea, you’re not going to make it there. The plane in Panama is not waiting for any more passengers, they are leaving.” So we ask if they can just put us on another flight in Panama to Belize and they say “Oh Copa only flies to Belize every 4 days.” So we would be stuck in Panama for 4 days! My friend and I are livid, we get off the plane and demand a refund and our checked bags. After another 10 mins of the employees trying to find us and the other 5 passengers that were also going to Belize another flight (although we’ve made it clear that we want a refund and our checked luggage so we can go home NOW), they tell us and the 5 other passengers that our luggage is on the plane...that just left to Panama. So WE got off the plane but our bags were left on the plane! How did they not take our bags off the plane although 7 passengers in total had to get off because of their mistake! The incompetency was out of this world! I am a photographer and had thousands of dollars of equipment in my bag and another person had cancer medication in his bag. We were told that it could take 1-3 days to get our bag but there was no way to know. I completely lost my mind. How in the hell did they do this?? I then asked about my refund because at this point, we lost our money with the hotel reservation, we lost our money with the next flight from Belize City to San Pedro since we can’t even get to Belize at all now, and we lost the money we spent for Ubers to the airport and the ridiculous amount spent on nasty airport food. But apparently we have to speak to someone on the website to get a refund, there’s no phone number or department in the airport to speak to. I’m writing this review one day after the incident and I still have yet to receive my bag OR the screwed up itinerary with all of Copa’s changes to our flight. And to make matters worse, when we checked our flight on their My Flights website page, it had the nerve to say the flight to Panama was arriving “On Time”. On time! 2 hours later! Yet it says on time! Copa Airlines is by far the worst airline I have ever flown and the fact that even an employee said that we’d have better luck receiving a refund through our bank than through Copa is extremely telling of their greed and disregard to customer needs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS AIRLINE

Flights got cancelled. Waiting on a refund for almost a year now!
I am a Copa frequent flyer (Connect Miles) and have been using Copa since many years. It was one of the best (if not the best) airline in Latin America. It might not compare with airlines with longer trips but they are always on time and the service is ok. They made huge improvements in many planes with a great entertainment system.
COPA AIR WILL GIVE YOU THE RUNAROUND AND REFUSES TO DO THE ETHICAL, LEGAL, MORAL, OR ACCEPTABLE THING AND JUST PROVIDE THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH REDUNDS AS MANDATED BY THE D. O. T.
Please note that I have proof in the way of emails that were sent and never replied to as well as over 100 calls to their "customer service line" which provides anything but the help you called in about. I have written the below to warn you of the dishonest business practices and tactics Copa Airlines will go to in order to frustrate you into giving up on your request for a refund and that is simply unconscionable considering the financial crisis that we are facing!

COPA AIRLINES REFUSES TO REFUND THOUGH DOT MANDATES PASSENGERS BE REFUNDED FOR FLIGHTS CANCELED BY THE AIRLINES DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC
UNFORTUNATELY, COPA AIRLINES FAILS TO REPLY TO EMAILS AND IF THEY FINALLY GET AROUND TO ANSWERING 1 of 15 SENT, IT WILL BE WITH A GENERIC REPLY HAVING NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PROBLEM YOU HAVE DESCRIBED IN THE 14 PRIOR EMAILS.
THE DOT SENT OUT THE FOLLOWING NOTICE:
Friday, April 3,2020
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Transportation today issued an Enforcement Notice clarifying, in the context of the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) public health emergency, that U.S. and foreign airlines remain obligated to provide a prompt refund to passengers for flights to, within, or from the United States when the carrier cancels the passenger's scheduled flight or makes a significant schedule change and the passenger chooses not to accept the alternative offered by the carrier. The obligation of airlines to provide refunds, including the ticket price and any optional fee charged for services a passenger is unable to use, does not cease when the flight disruptions are outside of the carrier's control (e.g., a result of government restrictions).
COPA AIRLINES PLAYS GAMES OVER THE PHONE BY NOT ALLOWING YOU ACCESS TO A SUPERVISOR, THEY REFUSE TO PUT YOU THROUGH TO THEIR FINANCIAL DEPARTMENT. AND THE REFUND TOOL IN THEIR WEBSITE IS MORE OF A TIME WASTING USELESS OPTION THAN A REFUND TOOL.
DON'T TRUST OR FLY COPA AIR!
Do not buy tickets with them! Avoid at any costs!

DON'T TRUST OR FLY COPA AIR!!!
We had our worst travel experience with this airline in Dominican Republic. The staff is rude, careless and racist.
They blocked us telling since we are Haitian we need a transit visa for Panama, while the Panama embassy in Haiti give us back our passports because they said we don't need a transit visa since we have a national Visa (Residence) for the Schengen area. Worst our layover was less than 2 hours, without having to go through immigration. We had the decree issued by the Panamanian government where it is clearly mentioned that we are visa free, but the staff ignored and despised us, refused to speak to us (we looked like dogs barking to pedestrians).
We were a group of 15 people, the others were able to leave, but not us. We had to pay for 1 night in a hotel, buy another ticket with another airline, pay a taxi to go to Punta Cana, pay 1 night in Paris, redo the Covid tests before resuming our flight to our destination, imagine if we were travel without enough of money?
It was unfair and very uncomfortable to be treated like that by ignorant people.
In 2019, I booked a flight to Brazil to see my family. With the pandemic most flights got cancelled as well as mine. For about a year, I've been trying to figure out what to do Re-book or ask for refund. After cases in Brazil skyrocketed, I decided to ask for a refund since there is no idea when to go. Copa said they cannot refund and I can either go to Brazil or pay difference to another route, or loose the ticket. Customer support has taken months to answer any question and the "flexibility" they preach is only helping them. I spent hours with them on the phone trying to find a away and it's almost zero capability of getting help.
In 2 decades traveling, this is by far the worst company I had the displeasure to work with. I honestly suggest that if you can, avoid them. I have no intention of ever booking anything with them ever.
No customer service, they messed up on the ticket name. Not a great airline to travel with. NO ONE GETS BACK TO YOU.
DON'T TRUST THIS COMPANY!!
